Spalletti: Fiorentina Will Be Difficult ...

The Giallorossi finally seem to have found some form after a terrible start to the season which saw them pick up three points in just two of their first 10 games in Serie A.

A 1-0 win over Lazio in the Roman derby two weeks ago went a long way to restoring some confidence in the side before a convincing 3-0 victory away to Lecce gave the capital club their first back-to-back wins of the season and dragged them up to 14th place, three points clear of the relegation zone. A win against Cluj in the Champions League iin midweek has kept the momentum going.

Spalletti: Roma – Fiorentina Will Be Spectacular

Tomorrow they welcome Fiorentina who, in contrast to Roma, started the season strongly but have since struggled for consistent results, dropping to sixth place in the table.

Spalletti spoke at a press conference ahead of tomorrow's match and said, “There is a need for us to confirm our good moment so we must get good results in order to allow us to search for the result we want at the end of the season.”

Spalletti added, “Fiorentina will be disappointed with their elimination from the Champions League, but hopefully they can qualify for the UEFA Cup. The Viola have demonstrated that they are a great team, with Prandelli they have gotten to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup and were fourth in the league last year. They will be even more motivated because of the losses in recent games.”

The Gialorosso coach concluded with a few words regarding Fiorentina's dangerous striker Adrian Mutu. “I believe that Mutu is a footballer of absolute value.”
