Rijkaard Confess : I Never Doubt Ronaldinho ...
Former Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard admits he never had any doubts over Ronaldinho after his move from Spain to Milan.
The Brazilian and Rijkaard clashed on a number of occasions when the two were still together at the Azulgrana.
'Dinho's last season was, perhaps, the worst of his career as he failed to get into the team and he was relegated to the Camp Nou bench.
Milan offered him a way out in the summer and the player has not looked back since then.
Rijkaard, who was replaced at Barcelona by Josep Guardiola, has now spoken about his old star and he is full of praise for him.
"Ronaldinho? I was always convinced that he would do his best for whichever team he went on to play for," Rijkaard told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"I am really happy for him and he deserves it. He did go through a rough patch but he has come through that.
"I never doubted his qualities. He has always been a great professional and he is showing that now."
