Viera Lost Until January Next Year...
Patrick Vieira looks poised to sit out the remaining fixtures of the year and return to action in the home game with Cagliari on January 11.
The former Arsenal midfielder picked up another problem during the Derby d’Italia clash between Inter and Juventus on November 22.
He was on the pitch for just a bunch of minutes, as he replaced match winner Sulley Muntari in stoppage time, but still got the time to suffer the umpteenth injury of his troubled Nerazzurri career.
He was also blighted by injuries last term, when he gave a minimal contribution to the Nerazzurri’s bid to claim their third consecutive title, and has started only eight games so far in Serie A.
On the other hand, Portuguese coach José Mourinho is ready to welcome back Romanian stopper Christian Chivu, who has been training with the rest of his teammates this week and is likely to return to the side for the home tie with Chievo Verona on December 14.
