Baptisa : Roma Will Beat Bordeaux !

The Giallorossi have had a dramatic resurgence in recent times, as they have managed five wins and a draw from their last six matches in all competitions.

The draw came away at Bologna in the Serie A, when an unfortunate last minute own goal to Cicinho, denied them a victory.

Luciano Spalletti’s men will be desperate to make it four successive league victories this weekend, as they travel to Verona to face the bottom club Chievo in an important contest at the Marc Antonio Bentegodi stadium.

Despite the fact that this is a crucial match for the Giallorossi, the club’s former Real Madrid man Julio Baptista has been thinking about Bordeaux, a side they will square off against next week in the Champions League.

Baptista made a simple pledge to the fans: “We will win against Bordeaux.”

He went on to add, “From our goalkeeper Doni, to our captain [Francesco] Totti, everyone is in good condition and is feeling calm.

“We have come from a difficult period, which we now have successfully overcome, and as a result, the team morale is definitely higher,” he concluded.

Roma, who were on the brink of elimination from Europe's premier competition after the first round of group games, are now amazingly top of their section with nine points and a win over Bordeaux will all but seal the progression to the last 16 as Group A winners.
