Sir Alex : We No Need Anybody Anymore...

The January transfer window is fast approaching, but Manchester United gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson wants nothing to do with it.

Ferguson: No January Signings For Manchester United

The Red Devils are behind in the Premier League title race, yet the wily Scot refuses to panic. He's relying on United's traditional glory run in the second half of the season, which he expects to happen without him having to do anything about it.

Some may have assumed that Fergie would be keen to reinforce his squad in order to spark such a push. It seems that he's decided not to, though, having spent big bucks on the likes of Dimitar Berbatov in the summer.

However, he admits that a slew of talented individuals will still be flooding into Manchester - on their way to mega-rich cross-town rivals City.

"There definitely won't be anyone coming here, but I'm pretty sure City will do some business," Ferguson told Inside United.

"You don't talk about having all this money and then not use it. They'll have plenty of ideas and the fact that they tried to buy four or five player in an hour on deadline day gives you an indication of what they want to do.

"But at the end of the day you can't buy them all," he added cheekily.

At some point, United will reportedly sign Serbian starlet Adem Ljajlic from Partizan Belgrade once he qualifies for a work permit by appearing for his country.
