Moratti : We Will Not Sell Balotelli

Striker Mario Balotelli has found it difficult to break into the Inter Milan starting XI so far this term, under the reign of new boss José Mourinho.

Moratti: Inter Will Not Sell Balotelli

The Portuguese tactician once again dropped the Italy Under-21 star from the Inter squad for the home match with Napoli last Sunday, and there have been rumours that the Via Durini directors might opt to loan him out during the upcoming transfer window.

However, President Massimo Moratti insists that the 18-year-old will remain at Appiano Gentile.

“Someone will certainly depart,” he is quoted as saying in Tuttosport this morning, “but I can assure you that Balotelli will not move.”

Cristiano Ronaldo was named as the winner of France Football’s Ballon d’Or earlier this week, and the Beneamata patron admits that Zlatan Ibrahimovic should have received more attention.

“I was surprised that Ibra got so little consideration this year,” he stated. “We will try and help him out for next season by having a great European campaign. We will work for him…”
