The Italian under-21 international finally put pen to paper on Friday morning after long negotiations with the club which date back to the summer.
'La Formica Atomica' is over the moon with the deal, where it is believed he will earn around €1m per season.
"I am so happy that I will be wearing the Juve jersey for the next five years, but I hope it goes beyond that," Giovinco told Juventus Channel.
"I am from Turin and I have always supported the Bianconeri and, apart from last season, I have always worn these colours.
"I started to play for the club when I was eight years old and a new phase has begun in my career. I now have more responsibilities and I have to work hard to give the club satisfaction as well as the fans, who have always been close to me."
The Old Lady's sporting director Alessio Secco, who played a major part in securing the new deal, is also pleased with the outcome.
"Today's agreement is the conclusion of a negotiation which was conducted in a serious and correct manor," added Secco.
"We reached a meeting point where the interests of the player and club were satisfied and the renewal is in line with the club's policy of bring quality youth to the team.
"Now we have to continue doing well, starting from tomorrow against Napoli."
The Bianconeri are currently four points off the pace heading into the game against the Partenopei and a much needed win is required if they are to celebrate Giovinco's extension in style.

Pemain muda Juventus Sebastian Giovinco yang telah diincar oleh banyak klub Eropa akhirnya resmi memperpanjang kontraknya dengan Bianconeri.
Negosiasi kontrak yang berjalan lambat antara kedua pihak menyebabkan munculnya desas-desus kalau Giovinco akan berpaling ke klub lain. Arsenal merupakan klub yang dikabarkan paling serius untuk membelinya.
Direktur olahraga Juve Alessio Secco dan pemain berusia 21 tahun itu akhirnya mencapai persetujuan dalam sebuah pertemuan yang juga dihadiri oleh agen Giovinco Claudio Pasqualin dan Andrea D'Amico.
Berapa besarnya gaji yang dikantungi Giovinco tidak diketahui. Namun diperkirakan ia dibayar sebesar £800 ribu per tahun dan angka tersebut akan mengalami kenaikan tiap tahunnya.
Giovinco merupakan produk dari tim remaja Juventus yang terus merangkak naik menuju tim inti berkat bakatnya. Banyak pengamat yang mengatakan kalau ia akan menjadi tumpuan utama tim Nyonya Tua di masa depan.
Dengan kontrak baru ini, pemain yang dijuluki Formica Atomica (Semut Atom) itu akan tetap merumput bersama Bianconeri hingga tahun 2013.
